All The Instances 83 Movie Did Anything But Talk About Cricket, Fabricated Facts And Spread Its Propaganda

The 83 movie which was supposed to croon laurels for the 1983 World Cup winning team did anything but with it spreading propaganda and fabricating facts

Given the paid publicity the movie indulged in and the shenanigans deployed prior to its, 83 looked set to become the biggest hit of 2021. In a year where Bollywood movies were being clobbered left, right and centre for their horrid stories, acting and direction, 83 had just the script needed to set the theatres alight.

83 Bollywood Movie Persistently Forces Its Propaganda Down Your Throat And Falsifies Reality

Envisaged to celebrate and rejoice in India’s historic triumph at the 1893 Cricket World Cup in England, 83 did everything but show the story of the country’s cricket legends. The movie which is directed by Kabir Khan, produced by Deepika Padukone and has Ranveer Singh portraying the role of then captain Kapil Dev does all it can to peddle its agenda and promote a bonhomie for a particular community.

A scene of the movie claiming the Pakistani army stopped firing at the border to allow Indians to watch the India vs West Indies world cup final went viral on social media platforms. However, that wasn’t the only subtle bits of messages the movie tried to peddle out with it also seen persistently trying to blow the horn of a particular community.

While the scenes portrayed in the movie try to force a particular narrative down one’s throat, reality is completely different as was seen recently. After India was defeated by Pakistan in the bygone T20 World Cup, manifold incidents of Islamists across the land in Kashmir, Punjab, Delhi and other regions bursting crackers and celebrating India’s defeat came to light.
