The 2022 All England Open is the fifth tournament on the BWF World Tour for 2022, and it is also a part of the All England Open Badminton Championships, which have been held since 1899. Badminton England is hosting the competition, which is sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation. Lee Zii Jia from Malaysia is the defending champion in Men’s Singles category of All England Open Badminton after having won the 2021 edition.

The tournament will take place from March 16 to March 20, 2022, at Arena Birmingham in Birmingham, England, with a total prize fund of $990,000. Fans can purchase their tickets from here.
March 16: First-round matches will begin at 9:00 AM GMT or 2:30pm IST
March 17: Second-round matches will begin at 11.00 AM GMT or 4:30pm IST
18th March: Quarter-finals begin at 10 AM GMT or 3:30pm IST
March 19: Semi-finals begin at 10 AM GMT or 3:30pm IST
March 20: Finals begin at 10:00 AM GMT or 3:30 pm IST
BWF All England Open Badminton Championships 2022 Men’s Singles First Round Results And Score
B is the best singles player in men’s singles. In a 48-minute first-round encounter, Sai Praneeth was defeated by top seed and Olympic champion Viktor Axelsen 20-22 11-21. H S Prannoy lost 15-21 22-24 in 56 minutes to last week’s German Open winner Thai player Kunlavut Vitidsarn, while Sameer Verma lost 18-21 11-21 in 41 minutes to Mark Caljouw of the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, at the All England Open Men’s Singles, Lakshya Sen and Kidambi Srikanth have advanced to the next round.
