Lakshya Sen stunned defending champion Lee Zii Jia of Malaysia to reach the All England Badminton Open Men’s Singles final for the first time.
Lakshya Sen defeated Lee 21-13 12-21 21-19 in a grueling semi-final match that lasted one hour and 16 minutes, becoming only the fourth man’s singles player to reach the All England final after Prakash Nath, Prakash Padukone, and Pullela Gopichand.
In the other semi-final, top-seed Viktor Axelsen defeated fourth seed Chou Tien Chen in straight sets with a score of 21-13,21-15.
