AIBA Men’s World Boxing Championships: List Of All The Winners, Results Till Date And The Prize Money

The AIBA World Boxing Championship is being held in Belgrade, Serbia. The AIBA World Boxing Championships 2023 will take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The AIBA World Boxing Championship is an amateur boxing competition regulated by the International Boxing Association, also known as the AIBA. AIBA was founded back in 1946 and its headquarter is in Lausanne, Switzerland. The current president of AIBA is Umar Nazarovich Kremlev. The AIBA World Boxing Championship takes place once in two years. The AIBA World Boxing Championship is the second-best boxing tournament after the Boxing event at the Olympics.

The first AIBA World Boxing Championship for men was held in 1974 in Havana, Cuba.  The first AIBA World Boxing Championship for women was started after 25 years in 2001.

The two titles are held independently on biennial timetables. Starting around 1989, the men’s championships are held once in two years.
