Wersching made her acting debut in 2002 with a guest spot on Star Trek: Enterprise; she grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. After that, she had guest-starring stints on shows including Charmed, Killer Instinct, Supernatural, and Cold Case. She portrayed Amelia Joffe in the ABC soap opera General Hospital in 2007.

Annie Wersching shot to stardom in seasons 7 and 8 of “24” as FBI Special Agent Renee Walker. During the year 2014, she starred in the Amazon Prime crime drama Bosch. In The Last of Us, she did voice work and motion capture. The actress was diagnosed with cancer in the year 2020.
