Although India A had an amazing run at the 2023 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup, they failed to clinch the title after succumbing to a 128-runs defeat in the final against Pakistan A. Unfortunately, India A managed only 224-runs in response to 353-runs target set by Pakistan A.

2023 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup final India A vs Pakistan A winner, result, score, & best performers

At the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, Pakistan A successfully defended its Emerging Asia Cup championship by defeating India A by 128-runs.
When given the opportunity to bat first, Pakistan A put 352/8 on the scoreboard thanks to Tayyab Tahir’s 18-run knock from 71 deliveries. Additionally, openers Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan managed one half-century apiece.

Despite the humongous target set by their rivals, India A started strong and looked on track till the 19th over. However, Indian opener Abhishek Sharma was dismissed at 61-runs and that put pressure on other batters. Unfortunately, some bad shots proved costly for the team as India went from 132/2 to 224/10 by the end of 40th over. For Pakistan A, Sufiyan Muqeem bagged three wickets at the expense of 66 runs, while Arshad Iqbal, Mehran Mumtaz, & Mohammad Wasim Jr clinched two wickets apiece.

Final Result: Pakistan A won by 128-runs against India A

ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023: list of awards & winners

Indian spinner Nishant Sindhu won the Player of the Series award for his outstanding performance throughout the competition. As a result of his spectacular century in the opening innings of the final, Pakistani hitter Tayyab Tahir won the Player of the Final title. Avishka Fernando of Sri Lanka scored the most runs overall during the tournament, and Nishant Sindhu of India took the most wickets.

The prize money hasn’t been revealed by the ACC.
