The storyline of the series follows the life of Jung Hee Wan. She is twenty-four years old and has almost lost the desire to live with a lonesome existence. Her first love and childhood companion Kim Ram Woo shows up in front of her one day. He turned into a grim reaper six years ago. Ram Woo then died in an accident before he decided to express his love. Ram Woo now warns Hee Wan that she has just one week left to live as a grim reaper. He goes on to clarify that she must speak his name three times if she wishes to die quietly. Hee Wan refuses to speak his name and is reluctant to be apart from him again. She makes a list of things she wants to do before she passes away, which Ram Woo helps her fulfill.
