Breanna Chadwick, a 20-year-old university student, passed away last week following a tragic rodeo accident in Chatdworth, GA at the Murray County Saddle club 2022
Chadwick, who hails from Georgia, passed away on July 8 after getting struck by a gate, which fatally injured her.

According to a report by the Dalton Daily Citizen, Breanna Chadwick was attending a rodeo event outside of Atlanta. The event took place on July 8, organised by the Murray County Saddle Club. However, while the event was underway, tragedy struck when a horse ran into a gate that fatally injured Breanna.

Breanna had to be airlifted to a hospital in Chattanooga, where she ultimately gave in to her wounds.
A social media post by Breanna’s sister, Kirstin Chadwick, read:
Lord Please pray for my sister, Breanna Chadwick. She has been in a horrible accident. We need all the prayers we can get for her. They are airlifting her to Erlanger Hospital and the Drs said to prepare for the worse! PLEASE PLEASE PRAY.
According to her obituary, the young girl aspired to be a third-grade teacher. She was a student at Reinhardt University.
She always had a beautiful smile and was full of sass. You could always find her at Chick-fil-A getting a lemonade or at Bruster’s getting a single scoop of birthday cake ice cream. She loved the colour teal, her jeep, Lily, and Peanut, but most of all, she loved her family and friends.
Sympathizer sets up a GoFundMe page for family of Breanna Chadwick
Hali Cheyene set up a GoFundMe fundraiser page for Chadwick’s family. The page has been set up to help the Chadwick family with medical expenses as well as funeral arrangements. The page has been met with positive responses, managing to garner more than $23,000.
Murray County Saddle Club pays respects to Breanna Chadwick
The Murray County Saddle Club stated on their Facebook page that they organised a candlelight vigil for Breanna Chadwick after the tragic incident.
This isn’t the first time a rodeo accident like this has happened. In October of 2021, an Amish duo in Virginia were killed while riding a horse-pulled buggy after being rear-ended by a truck. The couple’s eight children survived the accident, but were severely injured.
Similarly, in March of 2022, a bull threw off a teen bull-rider and collapsed. The boy’s father rushed to the arena to save him before the bull stomped on him.
