The season of MasterChef Australia for 2022 has finally come to a close after months of cooking challenges, unique visitors, mouthwatering food, and a committed cast of cooks. In the final challenge, Billie McKay narrowly defeated Sarah Todd to claim the top spot this year.

MasterChef Australia, an Australian cooking competition show, debuted its fourteenth season on April 18, 2022, on Network 10. This season’s format, Fans & Favorites, included 12 new contestants and 12 returning contestants. As judges from the previous season, Andy Allen, Melissa Leong, and Jock Zonfrillo returned to the programme. On July 12, 2022, Billie McKay defeated Sarah Todd in the series’ finale to claim victory.
He took home $250,000 in prize money and with it became the first person to win the show twice.
Ten revealed in October 2021 that MasterChef Australia, which was formerly dubbed Foodies Vs. Favourites, would return for its 14th season in 2022. After numerous team members caught the COVID-19 virus in January 2022, production was briefly put on hold.

Standing next to Billie McKay in the MasterChef Australia Fans & Favourites Grand Finale on Tuesday night, Sarah Todd had to contend with two really difficult rounds and narrowly lost by two points. Sarah took the lead in Round 1 by showcasing her ability to combine her love of Indian flavors with her classical French training to produce the dish of her dreams.
Sarah’s reproduction of Heston Blumenthal’s Taffety Tart in Round 2’s effort at a Pressure Test was so similar to the original that the judges had to use fine-tooth combs to determine the winner. Billie excelled in the second test, where the girls had to recreate Heston Blumenthal’s notoriously challenging Taffety Tart. Sarah advanced in the first challenge with her sweet and savoury chicken wings. While Sarah gave it her all, Billie’s unwavering commitment to excellence earned her three nines and one ten, giving her the winning mark.
