Since 2009, there have been Malaysia Masters tournaments, and the 2022 Malaysia Masters will be the thirteenth stop on the BWF World Tour. This tournament is being hosted by the Badminton Association of Malaysia with permission from the BWF.

The 2022 Malaysia Masters, a badminton championship with a US$360,000 total prize, will take place from July 5 to July 10, 2022, at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Indian badminton fans will have a lot of hope from women’s singles category as both PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal have managed to become champions in Malaysia Masters.

2022 Malaysia Masters Badminton Women’s Singles First Round Draw, Fixtures, Players List
PV Sindhu is the seventh seed in the competition, and just as the Malaysia Open, she is drawn into a bracket with Tai Tzu-ying of Chinese Taipei. In the quarterfinals, it’s conceivable that both players will clash. In the opening round, Sindhu will take on He Bing Jiao of China.
The other Indian singles player in the draw is Saina Nehwal, who will be hoping to perform much better after losing in the second round of the Malaysia Open. In the opening round, she will compete against Kim Ga-eun of South Korea. In the second round, she’ll probably meet Carolina Marin, the fifth seed.

Points Award System
The BWF World Tour Super 500 competition’s point distribution for each round was determined using the BWF scoring system. Men’s Singles tournament winners receive 9,200 BWF points, while runners-up receive 7,800. Competitors seeking to climb the BWF World Rankings will definitely be encouraged by the large amount of points available for grabs.

Prize Money Pool Distribution
The total prize money for 2022 Malaysia Masters is US$360,000 when the awards are given out in accordance with BWF regulations. Further, the winner of the singles category will take home $27,000 compared to $13,680 prize money of the runner-up.
