Know the BWF Super 750 badminton Malaysia Open 2022 final results, score, winner and list of champions along with their prize money
The Petronas Malaysia Open 2022 was a badminton competition with a total prize pool of US$675,000 that was held in the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from June 28 to July 3, 2022.

On Sunday, Thailand’s Ratchanok Intanon and Tokyo winner Viktor Axelsen took home the singles crown at the 2022 Malaysia Open. Intanon defeated Chen Yufei, an Olympic gold medalist in badminton, to win the women’s singles title in Kuala Lumpur. Before Chen of China fought back and dominated the second game, which she won 21-13, Intanon won the opening one 21-15. In the third, the Thai shuttler took an early lead and fought off Chen’s comeback to win the match 21-16.
In Men’s Singles final, Axelsen defeated second-seeded Momota Kento of Japan 21-4, 21-7 to claim the men’s title. Together with her new partner Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, fellow Olympic gold medalist Apriyani Rahayu won the women’s doubles championship for Indonesia. Japanese world champions Takuro Hoki and Yugo Kobayashi won the men’s doubles competition. Meanwhile, China’s duo of Zheng Si Wei and Huang Ya Qiong were crowned as mixed doubles champions.

Points Award System
The BWF scoring system was used to calculate the points distribution for each round of the BWF World Tour Super 750 competition. In the women’s singles competition, the victor receives 11,000 BWF points, while the loser receives 9,300 points. The enormous number of points up for grabs will undoubtedly inspire competitors who want to move up in the BWF World Rankings.

Prize Money Pool Distribution
After allocation in accordance with BWF rules, the prize pool for the 2022 Malaysian Open, a BWF World Tour Super 750 competition, will amount US$650,000. The winner of the Singles category will also receive $47,250 in prize money, but the runner-up will only get $22,950.
