In their quarterfinal clash of Women’s Doubles Category at 2022 Malaysia Open, top-seed Chinese duo of Chen QC and Jia YF were stunned by unseeded Indonesia duo of A Rahayu and Ramadhanti in the doubles category of 2022 Malaysia Open.

The 2022 Malaysia Open will be held at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from June 28 to July 3, 2022. It is a recognised badminton competition with a top prize of US$675,000. None of the Indian competitors in the pairs division were able to overcome their prior failures and advanced to the quarterfinals.

Tang Chun-man and Tse Ying-suet, the top-ranked mixed doubles duo in Hong Kong, suffered a heartbreaking loss in the Malaysia Open quarterfinals on Friday. The pair lost 21-13, 21-14 in just 38 minutes to Thailand’s top seed duo of Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai. On Saturday, the Tokyo Olympic gold medalists Wang Yilyu and Huang Dongping will compete against the No. 2 Thai team in the world, Dechapol and Sapsiree.

Points Award System
The BWF scoring system determines how many points are awarded in the BWF World Tour Super 750 competition. The doubles division awards 11,000 BWF points to the champions and 9,300 BWF points to the losers. The enormous number of points up for grabs will undoubtedly inspire competitors who want to move up in the BWF World Rankings.

Prize Money Pool Distribution
US$650,000 in prize money will be awarded in the 2022 Malaysia Open, and it will be given out in compliance with BWF rules. A total prize of $49,950 will be awarded to the winning doubles team, while just $23,625 will be given to the losing pair.
