According to Narendra Batra and Rajeev Mehta, these new rules don’t make any sense at all. They stated that this is mere discrimination against Indian athletes. Also, they added to their statement that Tokyo Organising Committee should refrain from using these unfair activities during the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.

The Indian athletes are invited to Tokyo 5 days prior to the main event. So now if they do not interact with people for 3 days then it is nothing else than wastage of their time. Indian Olympics athletes have been preparing quite hard for the Tokyo Olympics. This is happening for the very first time in Olympic history that a country’s Olympic players are refrained from meeting other players.
