India had come out with their playing 11 for the WTC final ahead of the upcoming Friday showdown with New Zealand

For Virat Kohli and the Indian team, Friday comes bearing with it colossal ramifications. Sealing their berth in the World Test Championship summit clash, the Asian giants are now looking to be crowned the winners of the inaugural edition.

Having landed in England a good amount prior to Friday’s showdown, the Indian team has been partaking in gruelling and vigorous training sessions to fine tune themselves. Intra-squad matches, practice sessions and the thinktank sitting at the table have all been done to determine which playing 11 would be the most ideal for the clash.

A slew of assumptions were being made about if Hanuma Vihari or Siraj would be given a chance to impress come the marquee summit clash. However, Virat Kohli and Ravi Shashtri have gone the safe way with the side opting for a three man fast bowling attack and a two spin unit.

India Announce Playing 11 For The WTC Final

With the weather set to be dicey with both rain and scorching heat predicted across the five days, India’s combination suits the conditions. The trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Shami and Ishant Sharma is more than capable of extracting the purchase they get from the green covering.

Elsewhere, Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin will be looking to utilise their guile and trickery to get the ball to massively deviate and leave the Black Caps in a tizzy.

The batting order meanwhile is what everyone envisaged with Shubman Gill bound to step out with Rohit Sharma. It was a move forthcoming after Mayank Agarwal was let out of the 15 man squad.
