The competition is taking place in Jakarta, Indonesia, at the Istora Gelora Bung Karno. The Indonesia Masters began from June 7th to run till June 12th, 2022, and will feature a total prize money of $360,000.

Sen, the world bronze medalist, advanced to the second round after defeating Denmark’s Hans-Kristian Solberg Vittinghus 21-10 21-18. Sen will play Rasmus Gemke of Denmark in the second round of the 2022 Indonesia Masters. Meanwhile, Sameer Verma, who was on a comeback track after recovering from an injury, couldn’t put his best foot forward, losing 17-21 15-21 to Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo of Indonesia.
