Capcom has stated that fans have seen items that weren’t supposed to be released after an enormous list of Street Fighter 6 leaks hit the internet
It’s the first time the corporation & development team have replied since SF6 content that was allegedly leaked began to circulate online.
It happened soon after Sony’s State of Play Livestream event last week, where the latest Street Fighter game is shown shown. Since then, fans have learned about 22 potential Street Fighter 6 characters, who have yet to be confirmed officially.
Street Fighter 6 Leaks, Characters List, Roster And Gameplay
Capcom has issued its first response following a series of leaks. That disclosed a wealth of supposed information about the upcoming release of Street Fighter 6, including what looks to be a nearly complete roster. It’s worth noting that SF6 isn’t anticipated to hit stores until 2023, so there’s still a long way to go.
This does, however, indicate that game is well into its production cycle, and that, while unusual. A succession of high-profile leaks is certainly plausible. Capcom has gone so far as to admit that leaked information about Street Fighter 6 has shown “something we weren’t supposed to see.”
“As citizens of Metro City, we’ve all seen things you weren’t allowed to witness. But we’re all in this together,” the whole comment on Street Fighter’s social media platforms reads.
