Boxer Kangaroo And Victorian Ex-MMA Trainer Cliff Des Fight Video Viral
Australia is home to some of the world’s most hazardous land and sea species. Arachnids like the Sydney funnel-web spider have haunted some of the continent’s most well-known areas, while Tiger Sharks lurking off the eastern coast have become notorious for their vicious assaults on humans. Then there’s the affectionate Boxing Kangaroo.
While the country’s national symbol is not among the most deadly, their epic slugfests with one another and humans have been the stuff of folklore on occasion, especially when the episodes are documented on camera. This was the situation in a recent fight between a Boxing Kangaroo and Cliff Des, a former MMA trainer.
The surveillance film showed a six-minute struggle between an Australian man and a kangaroo after the wild animal encroached on his property in central Victoria and jeopardised his dogs’ safety. The Kangaroo chased Des down from behind and stomped him out before Des managed to climb back to his feet, pick up a stick from the ground, and take the battle.
The Kangaroo then charged at Des and landed a punch, prompting Des to counter with a strike of his own. The struggle continued from there until Des was able to subdue the beast and restrain it. Des was bitten and lacerated all over his body, from his head to his knees. The Kangaroo, on the other hand, eventually made his way back into the wild. Des was interviewed by 9 News Australia shortly after the fight, and the battle made the local news.
