  • His Political Career

In January 1998, Singh joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was the first sportsperson to be elected to India’s Rajya Sabha, or upper house of Parliament. He held the position from 2003 until 2009. He was also the Jat Mahasabha’s president.

Diet Of Dara Singh

He was quite meticulous about his nutrition as a wrestler, which included 100 grams of almonds, marmalade, and clarified butter every day. He had 2 litres of milk, half a kilogram of beef, 10 silver vark, and 6-8 chapatis in a single day, which explains his strength and fitness, even at the age of 83.

He only ate two meals a day, lunch and supper, contrary to the popular idea that breakfast is the most essential meal of the day. He was very careful about eating “thandai” after a workout, which he followed with chicken or lamb soup.

He conducted partial or total fasting once a week, in addition to following this massive-yet-healthy diet, to guarantee cleansing and proper body metabolism.

Death Cause Of Dara Singh

Dara Singh died from a heart attack on July 7, 2012.
