The 2022 Badminton Asia Championships is a badminton tournament that will be held in the Muntinlupa Sports Complex in Muntinlupa, Philippines, from April 26 to May 1, 2022, with a total prize pool of $400,000.
April 28: Second-round matches will begin from 6:30 AM IST
29th April: Quarter-finals begin from 1:30 PM IST

Pai Yu Po of Chinese Taipei put two-time Olympic medalist Sindhu to the test, as the fourth seeded Indian battled back from a game down to win 18-21 27-25 21-9 in a marathon women’s singles first round match that lasted one hour and 17 minutes.
Saina, a London Olympics bronze medalist who has been on a return route after recovering from several nagging injuries, had to work hard to beat Sim Yujin of South Korea 21-15 17-21 21-13. Sindhu will face Singapore’s Yue Yann Jaslyn Hooi in the second round of 2022 Badminton Asia Championships, while Saina will face China’s Zhi Yi Wang.
