The Indian Men’s Hockey Team has had a fantastic FIH Pro League 2022 season thus far and presently leads the points table, we look at the results and standings of the tournament along with the upcoming schedule
From October 16th, 2021, the third edition of the Men’s FIH Pro League, a field hockey competition for men’s national teams, began. The event will take place from June 30th to June 30th, 2022, and will include nine teams from four confederations.
Participating Teams In The FIH Men’s Pro Hockey League
A round-robin competition featuring nine teams was originally scheduled to run from October 2021 to June 2022. New Zealand and Australia withdrew on September 17, 2021, due to the COVID-19 epidemic and travel restrictions. Canada and South Africa became members on December 8, 2021.
On January 17, 2022, six weeks after being picked as New Zealand’s replacement, Canada withdrew owing to the COVID-19 Omicron variant. France was announced as Canada’s replacement on January 25, 2022.

Format And Rules
The nine teams will compete in a round-robin format with home and away games. The table’s top team will be crowned champion after each team has played a total of 16 matches. After the 2021-22 season, the bottom team will be relegated, and the FIH Nations Cup champion will take their place.
Men’s FIH Pro League Hockey Results And Score
So far, thirty-six matches have been played in the FIH Pro League 2021-22 season. Belgium defeated Germany 6-1 in the tournament’s first match. Belgium defeated Germany by a score of 5-3 in the next match. Germany, on the other hand, has recovered well from early setbacks and now sits second in the league, after India.
The Indian hockey squad continued their incredible form after winning bronze at the 2020 Olympics in the FIH Pro Hockey League in 2022. After twelve games, India is presently atop the league table with eight victories and twenty-seven points. The Indian men’s team is now 10 points ahead of Germany in second place and eleven points ahead of the Netherlands in third place.

Argentina and South Africa will face off in the upcoming FIH Pro League encounter. Meanwhile, India’s campaign will resume on June 11th with a match against Belgium. Following the match, India will play Belgium in Antwerp on June 12th.
