On September 21, 2018, he made his List A debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy. On November 1, 2018, he made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy. He made his Twenty20 debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on February 21, 2019. Later on, he was purchased by the Gujarat Titans in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League competition in February 2022.

Yash Dayal rose to prominence as a member of the Uttar Pradesh domestic cricket squad. Dayal was recently a part of India’s squad bio-bubble during an ODI series against the West Indies.
Yash Dayal made his debut in the Ranji Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2018. In September 2018, the teenager also played his debut LIST A match for Uttar Pradesh.
