The 2022 Korea Open will be the eighth tournament on the BWF World Tour, and it will be hosted in conjunction with the Korea Open championships, which have been held since 1991. The Badminton Korea Association is hosting this competition, which is sanctioned by the BWF.

In the second round of 2022 Korea Open, Kidambi Srikanth defeated Israel’s Misha Zilberman with a score of 21-18 21-6. With this win, Srikanth set up a match with local hope and former world number one Son Wan ho in the quarter-final. In another second-round match, world number nine Lakshya Sen lost against world number 24 Shesar Hiren Rhustavito of Indonesia with a score of 20-22 9-21 in 33 minutes
