The 2022 Korea Open will be the eighth tournament on the BWF World Tour, and it will be hosted in conjunction with the Korea Open championships, which have been held since 1991. The Badminton Korea Association is hosting this competition, which is sanctioned by the BWF.

The tournament will take place from April 5th to April 10th, 2022, at Palma Indoor Stadium, Suncheon, South Korea, with a total prize fund of $360,000. With this, the Korea Open will be held in Suncheon for the first time.

2022 Korea Open Badminton Women’s Singles First Round Results, Draw, Fixtures, Players List, Live Score

Indian shuttler Malvika Bansod advanced to the second round of the women’s singles competition in the Korea Open Super 500 badminton tournament following a hard-earned victory. Bansod defeated Chinese shuttler Han Yue with a score of 20-22, 22-20, 21-10.

PV Sindhu is the third seed at the 2022 Korea Open after winning the Swiss Open. In the first round, she will face Lauren Lam of the United States, who is an unseeded player. PV Sindhu is scheduled to play her first-round match on 6th April.
