His defeat to Jannik Sinner in the fourth round of the Miami Open 2022 was no different with Kyrgios once again losing the plot during the matchup. The Australian was involved in verbal battles with both himself and chair umpire Carlos Bernardes with video footage of the incident once again seeing the ire against Kyrgios grow.

Asked to pack his bags and head for the exit door during his 7-6(3) 6-3 loss, Kyrgios hit out at just about everything under the sun. He began by venting his ire at the speed of the court with him claiming it was slower than the one where he had downed Andrey Rublev and Fabio Fognini.

โJust play,โ replied the umpire as Sinner watched on calmy refusing to get drawn into fracas.
