What Is The BWF Super 300 Swiss Open Badminton, Rules And Format
Swiss Open Badminton, also known as the Open de Suisse, has been an annual badminton event hosted in Basel, Switzerland. It has been a part of the BWF Super Series since 2007. This event was founded in 1955 which is 67 years ago.
The Badminton World Federation authorized the BWF Super Series, which consisted of a series of Grade 2 badminton competitions (BWF). It was first announced on December 14, 2006, and it went into effect in 2007. However, the tournament was downgraded to a Grand Prix Gold event in 2011.
Due to sponsorship considerations, it is now known as the Yonex Swiss Open Badminton. It will be held in Basel’s St. Jakobshalle in 2022. It will be the 58th edition of the tournament overall.
The premier of the Swiss Open Badminton tournament will be aired in over 30 countries with over 250 million homes via live streaming, live scoring, and TV broadcasts. Over 15,000 spectators are expected to come to see this event physically.
This year’s event will be held from 22nd March to 27th March. The competition will be divided into two rounds before the competitors advance to the knockout stage, which will take place on March 25 and 26. The competition’s final match will take place on March 27.
