The 2022 All England Open is the fifth tournament on the BWF World Tour for 2022, and it is also a part of the All England Open Badminton Championships, which have been held since 1899. Badminton England is hosting the competition, which is sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation.
Japanese shuttler Nozomi Okuhara is the defending champion in Women’s Singles category of All England Open Badminton after having won the 2021 edition. However, Nozomi bowed out of the tournament after losing to top-seed Tai Tzu-ying in the quarterfinals.

At the All England Open Women’s Singles, world number one and top-seed Tai Tzu-ying, was stunned in 40 minutes by fourth seed and World No. 4 An. Tai Tzu-ying was defeated 21-19, 21-13 by An Seyoung in the semifinals on Saturday.
In the other semi-final, Japan’s Akane Yamguchi defeated third seed Yu Fei in straight sets with a score of 21-11, 21-13.
