Jamal Edwards was born on 24 August 1990. Jamal was a professional British entrepreneur, an author, a director, a DJ, and also the founder of the online urban music platform SB.TV.

Jamal Edwards hailed from Luton, England, and spent his previous years there before shifting to Acton, West London. Jamal lived in London with his mother Brenda Edwards and his stepfather, Patrick, and his younger sister, Tanisha. His family comes from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. He was 5ft 7in tall and attained primary education in Luton and was a Christian.
He died of a heart attack he suffered at his mother’s house just hours after playing a final DJ set at the age of 31 with his mother Brenda saying he had a sudden illness. Just a day before his death he was DJing at a gig in north London, England.
Loose Women’s Denise Welch said: “My heart aches for my friend Brenda. I can’t bear it. Jamal Edwards was a wonderful son and brother.”
“Myself, his sister Tanisha and the rest of his family and friends are completely devastated. He was the centre of our world,” mother Brenda said.

Jamal Edwards established the SBTV that is an online media platform to discover new artists. He launched this in the year 2006 and has helped people out with their careers. He has also helped Ed Sheren. The SBTV’s YouTube channel had crossed than one million subscribers. When Jamal Edwards was just 15 years old, he was given a video camera ad he filmed his friends rapping and performing and uploaded them to his official YouTube channel.
Jamal created the SBTV channel for his videos. Jamal’s rap name at that time was “SmokeyBarz”, from the acronym SB in the channel’s title. After he completed school, he worked at the clothing company Topman while continuing to make videos. Jamal’s videos garnered a lot of audience because of his engaging content. Jamal left Topman to concentrate on the SBTV. Firstly, the SBTV channel’s content was related to dance and music, but Jamal then started to explore other musical genres.
