Ben Cutting is someone who clearly doesn’t believe in forgive and forget. Mocked by Sohail Tanvir back in 2018 during the Caribbean Premier League, Cutting was quick to extract his revenge as he cleaned the Pakistani quick during the Peshawar Zalmi vs Quetta Gladiators showdown in PSL 7.

Things had first turned sour between the two during a matchup between Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Tanvir had dismissed Cutting in the encounter ensuing which he had decided to send off the batsman with a middle finger gesture, one which was stamped in Cutting’s mind.
Cleaning up Tanvir during the PSL 2022 match on Tuesday as he trounced him for 27 runs in the 19th over, Zalmi’s cutting went onto play some lusty blows to hit four sixes in the over. Enjoying himself as he made a mockery of the quick, Cutting squared off with Tanvir to show him the double middle finger gesture before the umpire intervened to defuse the situation.
Tanveer who went onto take Cutting’s catch in the next over returned the favour by showing him the double middle finger as the batter walked back to the pavilion. The squabble has cost the two 15% of their match fees with both being docked for a disciplinary breach.
Cutting ended up with 36 runs to his name in a measly 14 balls to power his side to a healthy 185-7 with Shoaib Malik and Hussain Talat both making half-centuries for the side.
