Mason Mount, the Chelsea midfielder faced an unfortunate injury at the FIFA Club World Cup final against Palmeiras in Abu Dhabi. The 23-year old was then substituted by Christian Pulisic in the first half of the game.

Mason Mount Injury Update
Mason Mount, during his side’s FIFA Club World Cup final, was subbed off at the 31st minute of the game by Christian Pulisic following an injury to his ankle he faced after a Palmeiras player fell on him. The player was then taken on crutches.
According to The Athletic, the injury doesn’t seem to be as serious as it appeared that day.
Mason Mount return date
The Athletic, reports that the player will not appear for the Champions League tie against Lille scheduled on 23rd February. He might also miss the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool that is scheduled for February 27. Chelsea won’t risk the player’s return until he is 100% fit for the games. The earliest return for him is said to be after two weeks.

The current injury of the Chelsea midfielder seems to be similar as he once faced in September 2019 following a challenge from Valencia player Francis Coquelin it took just five days for Mason to return to the game.
Meanwhile, the situation seems different this time than what it was back then in 2019, and the English player might be forced to skip at least two weeks because of the ankle injury which is not very good for the player as well as the club.
Mason Mount has been suffering ankle problems since 18/19 and most of the time, it took very little time for the player to recover.

Ben’s return can be expected until June 30, 2022, for the Blues with Reece James on the injury bed as well for the club.
