England holds the record for the most number of fours in an ODI inning. On the 18th of June 2019 in the ICC Cricket World Cup, England scored 25 fours in their match against Afghanistan. England scored a total of 397 runs in that game and 100 of them came from boundaries alone.
England also hold the record for second-most fours in an ODI inning by a team when they scored 24 fours against the West Indies in February 2019. They’ve also hit 21 fours in an inning against Australia back in 2018.
2. West Indies
The Windies players are known for their aggressive batting and boundary hitting. They’ve hit the third-most fours in an innings in ODI. They scored 23 fours in their inning against England in February 2019. They lost the game despite scoring 360 runs in that game. They’ve also scored 22 fours in an ODI inning.
3. New Zealand
The Black Caps are the third team to hit the most number of fours in an ODI inning. On the 1st of Jan 2014, their game against West Indies at Queenstown New Zealand hit 22 fours.
4. South Africa
The Proteas scored 20 fours against India at the Wankhede stadium in 2015. They scored 438 runs in that inning with the help of centuries from Faf du Plesis, AB de Villiers, and Hashim Amla.
5. India
India scored 19 fours in their innings against Australia at the Chinnaswamy stadium back in 2013. They won the game after scoring 383 runs. That series was a run-feast as both the sides scored heaps of runs throughout the 5 games of the series.
