The hairstylist of Gervonta Davis claims that no grease or other deception was applied to his hair during the fight. She adamantly maintains that she has never greased his hair.
She said, “I did his hair WEDNESDAY, It’s SATURDAY! He did press, gym and weigh in. That’s no excuse, how much grease did I use damn. Is the grease in the room with us?”
The unbeaten fighter Gervonta Davis who is currently 30-0-1 with 28 knockouts, accused his hairstylist of causing his eyes to become wet from the grease in his recently braided hair.
Davis claimed his unexpected drop to the canvas was due to grease running into his eyes, a result of a recent hair appointment.

“I got my hair done two days ago, and she put grease in my sh*t,” he said. “It was sweating, running into my face, burning my eyes.” As the crowd booed, he defended himself. “Why y’all acting like I’m lying? This is real. Look at my hair, I just got it done.”
His hairstylist, known as “Lee B The Brand,” wasn’t having it and in a now-deleted Instagram post, she pushed back against the claim.
His hairstylist had other ideas if Davis believed that would put a stop to the topic. LeeBTheBrand, his hairstylist who is based in New York, responded on Instagram before removing her post. “On Wednesday, I did his hair. Saturday is here. He worked out, weighed in, and pressed. It’s not an excuse. Damn, how much grease did I use?” She shared a video of Davis at her salon as well, with no visible signs of grease buildup.
She posted a picture of the product being used on his hair, with the words “no grease” prominently displayed on the package, to support her claim.

Meanwhile, Roach is still upset that he wasn’t given credit for a knockdown, regardless of whether grease had anything to do with it. Davis won the bout 115-113 according to one judge, but 114-114 according to the other two. Roach would have prevailed if the referee had declared the knee a knockdown.
Even though he put all the responsibility on the hairstylist, Gervonta Davis’s stylist deserves a pat on the back for her magic and making him look amazing in the ring.
