Speaking to the media after offering prayers, Varun Dhawan stated, “It was a very good feeling offering prayers here at the temple. God is bigger than the film. I just prayed that people go and watch the movie.”
Baby John is set to release in cinemas on December 25. Directed by Kalees that serves as an adaptation of Atlee’s 2016 Tamil film Theri. The film stars Varun Dhawan in the titular role alongside Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi. Jackie Shroff will be seen playing the role of the antagonist in the film. The action thriller also marks Keerthy’s Bollywood debut.

On September 29, 1993, actress and trained Kathak dancer Wamiqa Gabbi was born in Chandigarh into a Punjabi Hindu household with her eventually moving to Mumbai. She is 5ft 3in tall and 60 kg in weight. Her father, Govardhan Gabbi, is a writer who adopted the pseudonym Gabbi to write in Punjabi and Hindi with Gabbi not being her real surname which isn’t known. Her mother is s Raj Kumari Kaushal. She has a brother named Hardik Puran Gabbi who is an actor and director.
Wamiqa means the goddess of wind; and her dad is a poet and writer in Punjabi and Gabbi is his pseudonym.

After playing supporting parts in a number of movies, Wamiqa Gabbi landed her first major role in the coming-of-age drama Sixteen (2013) as Tanisha, a teenage girl who dates a man twice her age.
She then made her Punjabi film debut in the comedy Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22 with Amrinder Gill and Yo Yo Honey Singh. Four of Gabbi’s five releases in 2019 were in Punjabi.
Gabbi portrayed a free-spirited woman in Galwakdi (2020) who develops feelings for a librarian with obsessive-compulsive disorder (played by Tarsem Jassar). After eight years away from Hindi film, she made a comeback in 2021 with Kabir Khan’s sports drama 83, which starred Ranveer Singh. Gabbi had six appearances in 2023, which turned out to be a breakout year.
She began the year opposite Salman Yusuff Khan and Ishaan Khattar in Bhardwaj’s short film Fursat. At the Filmfare OTT Awards, she won her first prize for Best Supporting Actor in a Web Original Film (Female). The next movie Gabbi will appear in is Atlee’s action movie Baby John, which stars Varun Dhawan.
