Although the gunman was wearing a face mask and a hooded cloak, his video was circulated online. As soon as security footage of the smiling suspect was captured from the hostel where he allegedly slept, his whole face was widely shared online.

Anyone who could provide information that would result in the suspect’s arrest was eligible to receive a prize of $60,000. Before being taken into custody by the police, Luigi Mangione was seen eating a hash brown at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania. People are assuming that his name was suggested by an employee at the McDonald’s named Nancy Parker.

Evidently, social media detectives discovered a Facebook post boasting about turning Mangione in from an account that has since been removed. Nancy Parker is the woman who many people on the internet are now calling a rat and snitch since she works at the Altoona, Pa McDonald’s where Luigi spotted with her said to have tipped off 911 about his presence there. Despite the lack of screenshots of the initial boastful post, she is mentioned a lot on all social media sites with many claiming she has also been fired from her job for calling 911 on company time.

Scans of a Nancy Parker’s Facebook account reveal updates from a person posing as her grandson. Her supposed grandson claimed he had to take her picture off from the profile before the account was terminated as threats to “come to her job or house and do horrible stuff” were apparently being made.

Parker’s grandson also disclosed that there has been a good bit of abuse directed at the McDonald’s where Mangione was apprehended. In addition to contacting the business and threatening the person who answers, they are also damaging store property. Employee vehicles have been vandalized, and there has even been defecation outside one of the restaurant’s entrances. Given that she is unlikely to receive the reward money, Parker may be considering this to be unworthy.

Will Nancy Parker get reward?

It could be wise to check the tiny print when it comes to things like cashing in on incentive money. In reality, there are two rewards involved. The New York Police Department, which employs a rewards program provided by Crime Stoppers, organized the first one, which was for $10,000. The prize isn’t always given to the person who successfully alerts the authorities.

It is the responsibility of the “NYC Police Foundation and the Crime Stoppers Board of Directors, who ultimately decides whether to approve the tip and instructs the caller on how to receive it,” according to Unilad. Parker may not receive the $10,000 because she contacted 911 rather than the Crime Stoppers tip line. The FBI had meanwhile declared a $50,000 reward for anyone who would inform them of Luigi’s whereabouts but only if the tip led to an arrest and conviction.
