EA Sports have been swift to remove Mason Greenwood from FIFA 22 after he was arrested on suspicion of r*pe and assault of Harriet Robson
Mason Greenwood’s football career is officially dead.
While the player is currently only detained on suspicion of rape and physical assault of ex-girlfriend Harriet Robson, its clear that the now suspended Manchester United is more than guilty of the crimes he’s accused of. Not only do the horrendous video, audio and pictures shared by Robson allude to that but the player has also been arrested by the Greater Manchester Police.
EA Sports Remove Mason Greenwood From FIFA 22 On All Platforms
He’s since not only been barred from training and playing for Manchester United but has also been released from his contract by Nike. The dying embers of his career were completely extinguished by EA Sports who took no time in cutting him from FIFA 22 with the player no longer a part of the game.
Disgraced Greenwood now joins Benjamin Mendy and Gylfi Sigurdsson, two players who have committed sex crimes as the names to have been removed from the football game. On Tuesday February 1, 2022 EA Sports released a database update for FIFA 22 on all platforms, PlayStation, Xbox and PC, which removed Greenwood from all offline modes in the game.
The 20-year-old’s FUT item remains active with players able to obtain and trade his item. Nike who have suspended their relationship with the player said: “We have suspended our relationship with Mason Greenwood.
“We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation.”
