Let us remind you, Conor McGregor’s return to the Octagon was delayed due to a broken toe. Though both McGregor and UFC CEO Dana White have confirmed his intention to fight once again in the ring, the recent matter has yet again delayed his return.

Nevertheless, the professional mixed martial artist has recently stated that it is unlikely for him to return before late 2025. However, as of now, there is no official date or opponent has been confirmed following the collapse of his proposed fight with Chandler.

McGregor’s contract with the UFC still has two fights remaining and although the former champion has recovered from the injury, there are no signs that White is thinking of including him on any upcoming card. In this regard, McGregor recently stated, “I must get two fights in 2025. It’s the promised land.”

He said he doesn’t know who his next opponent will be but assured, “It does not matter. Whoever, let’s see. I’d like it to be Chandler. I wish him well and see where it goes.” McGregor’s most recent fight was a heartbreaking loss to Dustin Poirier in 2021.
