Mahli Beardman is an Australian cricketer who was born on August 31, 2005, in Dunsborough, Australia. He currently plays for Western Australia as well as the Australia under-19s team. Mahli mainly plays as a right-arm fast bowler, and can reach speeds in the mid-140 km/h range. Beardman first gained prominence as a 10-year-old while playing in Cowaramup, before he moved to Dampier for two years. It was here that the Western Australian Cricket Association first noticed his cricketing talent.
He moved to Perth and attended Aquinas College and at age 15, Beardman came to be coached and mentored by Australia bowling great Dennis Lillee.

Career
Mahli Beardman started out training under coach and mentor Dennis Lillee, who is a legendary Australia bowler. He eventually got the chance to train with the senior Australian cricket team in 2022, before getting invited to prepare for a Test match against the West Indies. Later that year on November 4, 2023, Beardman made his List-A cricket debut for Western Australia against New South Wales.
His got his first wicket against Moises Henriques, after catching a mid-on after the ball deflected from the non-striker’s helmet. Mahli played for Australia at the 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa, helping the team win the tournament. Mahli Beardman won the player of the match during the final after taking 3-15 against India under-19s.
He finally gained a rookie pro contract with Western Australia earlier this year in April 2024. Just last week, in September 2024, Mahli got called-up as a reserve player for the senior Australia squad for their upcoming five-match ODI series in England.
