One day after a 22-year-old student Harsh Raj was beaten to death on the grounds of a college in Patna by men wearing masks, police detained the primary suspect and discovered that the incident that took the young person’s life was the result of an argument during a dandiya night the previous year.

Around 12:45 p.m., the attackers cornered Harsh in the campus parking lot and used bricks and rods to unleash a vicious attack that proved fatal. There were onlookers present, but nobody stepped forward to stop it. After being taken to Patna MCH quickly, doctors there declared Harsh dead.
While taking an exam at the Sultanganj Law College, Harsh Raj, a third-year Vocational English student at BN College was attacked by masked guys with sticks. He was seriously injured by the blows. When the police arrived, they hurried him to the hospital, where he passed away while receiving care.

According to sources, Harsh exited the exam room earlier than expected, which is when the event happened.
A Special Investigation Team was established. The primary suspect who organised the attack has finally been taken into custody. He goes by Chandan Yadav and is a Patna College final-year student. He has acknowledged committing the crime, and the other accused is being sought for.
Reports state that Harsh Kumar, a political activist and BA English (Hons) student, is the son of journalist Ajit Kumar who works in Vaishali. He was recently observed endorsing Shambhavi Choudhary who is the daughter of Nitish Kumar cabinet minister Ashok Choudhary and the LJP (RV) nominee from the Samastipur LS constituency. 22 year old Harsh was a general category Hindu student with one Chandan Yadav being arrested in his death.

The vicious attack’s motive is not known yet. But according to police, Harsh got into a fight with some Patna University students over planning a “dandiya night” celebration for Dussehra last year.
Principal of Law College Mohd Sharif declined to comment on the incident by saying, “I do not know anything.”
According to Harsh’s family, he was politically active and wanted to run for student union president.
