Sir Vivian Richards Stadium Antigua pitch report, capacity and fixtures schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2024
The Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium is located in North Sound, Saint George, in Antigua and Barbuda. It was established in 2007 and named after the legendary West Indies batter Vivian Richards. It was originally established to host the 2007 ODI World Cup and has since been hosting T20 matches regularly. The stadium consists of two ends, north and south ends, named after two veteran bowlers, Sir Andy Roberts and Sir Curtly Ambrose.
Seating capacity
The stadium has a total seating capacity of about 10,000 seats, which is quite low compared to other stadiums hosting the T20 World Cup matches this year. However, during the 2007 ODI World Cup, the seating capacity doubled to 20,000 seats using temporary seating.
Sir Vivian Richards Stadium matches at the 2024 T20 World Cup
The stadium is set to host around eight matches in the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup. Besides the four group stage matches, the stadium will host four Super 8 matches. Notably, England and Oman are both scheduled to play two games each at the stadium.

Sir Vivian Richards Stadium pitch report ahead of 2024 T20 World Cup
The pitches at the stadium generally favor the batters during the early parts of the game, but as the game progresses, the spinners take over as the game slows down. England will play two games at the venue and will rely on their spin duo, Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali, to gain an advantage.
