He makes it into Sunday’s final by beating Malaysia’s Ng Tze Yong in the Yonex-Sunrise India Open.

In a thrilling semifinal match, the 20-year-old from Almora defeated world number 60 Yong 19-21 21-16 21-12, joining his guru Prakash Padukone and B Sai Praneeth as medalists in the World Championships last month.
Sen, ranked 17th in the world, will meet world champion Loh Kean Yew of Singapore in the final on Sunday, in a rematch of last year’s Dutch Open final. After getting a sore throat, Loh, who was seeded fifth, was handed a walkover in the semifinals by Canada’s Brian Yang.
The Singapore badminton player will be looking to add to his BWF World Championships title which he won in December of 2021 by defeating India’s Kidambi Srikanth.
