Carlos Sainz set to miss Saudi Arabian GP
Sainz has largely impressed this season following a spectacular performance at the season-opener race in Bahrain last week. However, the Spaniard is set to miss the upcoming Saudi Arabia Grand Prix after being diagnosed with appendicitis requiring immediate surgery. Following the recent developments, a Ferrari spokesman stated:
Carlos Sainz has been diagnosed with appendicitis and will require surgery.”
Oliver Bearman bio
Oliver James Bearman is a British racing driver who was born on May 8, 2005, in Chelmsford, UK. He currently competes in the 2024 FIA Formula 2 Championship for Prema Racing. However, he is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy and is now all set to make his F1 debut for Ferrari to fill in for Carlos Sainz. He obtained his early education from King Edward VI Grammar School and joined the Ferrari driver academy aged 16.
Born in Chelmsford, Essex, in 2005 to David and Terri Bearman, Oliver’s family have a background in motorsport as his father competed in club racing and his younger brother Thomas is currently starting his karting career.
He is set to make his Formula One debut at the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on March 9, 2024, and will no doubt have girlfriend Estelle Ogilvy cheering him on. Oliver is a Christian by religion.

Career
Notably, Oliver left school and his family home before relocating to Modena, despite much opposition from his mother, Terri. The youngster took up the decision to kickstart his F1 journey as Modena is closely located to Ferrari’s headquarters in northern Italy. Within two years, he started making an impact, showcasing his Italian influence.
Oliver Bearman demonstrated his talents at his first-ever practice at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico, where he finished in 15th. He then won the German and Italian Formula 4 championships and eventually gained prominence. Bearman is currently a reserve driver for Ferrari, having obtained the role just two months ago. He completed his first Ferrari test at the Fiorano track in October.
