Punjab (Head of Police Force). His term shall be for a minimum period of two years from the date of assumption of office in pursuance of the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated July 3, 2018,” the order of the Punjab governor stated.

The 1987 IPS batch officer is the third DGP of the state in a span of three months. He hails from Chandigarh Punjab and is married to wife Anjali Bhawara while their son is Siddharth. VR Bhawara has done his Master in Law along with B.Sc in Electrical Engineering. He height stands at 5 feet and 6 inches while there’s no official information on his age.
He has received the President’s Police Medal for his service to the police.
