Champions of Euro 2020 Italy and the World Cup finalists France were drawn together in 2022 in the UEFA Nations League group stage. The two are in League A’s Group 2, which is also home to Belgium and Israel.
Germany and Hungary were paired together once more for the Euro 2024 group stage. They will also play Netherlands and Bosnia in Group 3. Among the top teams on the continent are League A’s heavyweights, Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands, as well as recently promoted teams, Scotland.
As per a report in Reuters, owing to their invasion of Ukraine, Russia was excluded from the tournament.
Autumn 2024 will see the league phase games take place, and June 2025 will see the finals (which will be hosted by one of the four qualifying nations) take place.
