A 12-year-old boy, who had gone missing from Bengaluru on Sunday, was located at a metro station in Hyderabad this morning following a social media appeal that triggered an intense search.

The two cities are approximately 570 km apart. 12 year old Parinav, a 6th-grade student at Deens Academy, successfully evaded authorities attempting to trace him for three days.
By the time they reached the locations where he had been spotted, he had already moved on to another place. He was observed leaving a coaching center in Whitefield around 11 am, and later at a petrol pump near Yemlur around 3 pm.
His last sighting was when he disembarked from a bus that evening at Bengaluru’s Majestic bus terminus, a hub connecting the city to various locations in Karnataka and beyond.
From Bengaluru, he first traveled to Mysuru and then Hyderabad via Chennai. Carrying Rs 100, he managed his expenses by selling Parker pens for Rs 100 each. Surveillance footage apparently captured him attempting to sell pens to potential customers.
In the midst of their concern, his parents turned to social media, launching an online plea to locate their child and sharing CCTV footage of him crossing a road. This triggered a widespread search by social media users, with some even volunteering to physically visit Majestic.
The boy’s mother posted a video urging him to come home. His posters were extensively circulated online, leading a passenger to identify the boy in the metro. Upon confrontation, he confirmed his identity and was detained at the Nampally metro station in Hyderabad on Wednesday, three nights after he went missing.
Parinav’s Parents Ensured Safety
His parents have been notified and are en route to Hyderabad. Sukesh, Parinav’s father and an engineer, expressed bewilderment at how his son ended up there.

He extended gratitude to the anonymous individuals who aided in locating his boy, emphasizing that without the widespread dissemination of his picture, the person in Hyderabad might not have been prompted to intervene.
Parinav’s mother also confirmed her son’s discovery in Hyderabad, thanking those who assisted the family in locating him. She reassured that he is safe, and they are on their way to pick him up.
