The distressing incident unfolded yesterday morning, with the girlโs father, Min Min, returning home at 10 am to discover the gruesome aftermath. Upon searching for the missing toddler, Min Min discovered his daughterโs skull devoid of flesh in a concrete enclosure housing crocodiles.
Heart-wrenching images captured the mother, Nay Is, 32, in tears as she held onto what remained of her child. Police Chief Captain Chem Chamnan confirmed, โHer father found only her skull in the crocodile enclosure, where she was killed by crocodiles.โ
Police Investigation Reveals
Authorities revealed that the toddler had been under the care of her mother, who had recently given birth. The child ventured into the area surrounding the crocodile farm, situated behind their property.
Although the family had erected a fence around the 10-foot high concrete pool, children could still fit through the gaps. Lieutenant Och Sophen, chief of Siem Reap commune police, explained, โThe mother lost sight ofโ the two-year-old, emphasizing that when the father returned home, he found only the childโs skull in the crocodile enclosure.
โHe confirmed that the daughter fell into the crocodile enclosure, and the crocodiles killed her, leaving only her skull,โ added Lieutenant Och Sophen.
