Kentucky Sheriff Brent Lynch was arrested after punching a teenage girl in the face during a basketball game he was coaching with video of the incident going viral
For a person charged with the security of territory, you would envision Brent Lynch to have a cooler head on his shoulders. However, the Kentucky Sheriff is one of the last people you would task with being in charge with the top law enforcement official in Owsley County, KY arrested for hitting a teenage girl on Thursday.

Video of the incident shows Lynch losing his marbles during a girls basketball game which he was coaching in Perry County last Friday. Lynch who was a coach for Owsley County was captured flying into a rage as he ran onto the court after a fight between the two teams erupted.
Lynch went onto punch a girl square in the face, a blow which has resulted in him being charged with 4th degree assault, a charge which could land him in jail for one year along with a fine if he’s convicted. He is currently housed in jail behind bars in the Three Forks Regional Jail after he was arrested by his own officers.
Lynch had taken up the role in January 2019. He was booked at 9:59 am with him in the Kentucky State Police as an officer prior to becoming the sheriff. He has also being suspended from his job as a basketball coach while it remains to be seen if he’ll be suspended from the security force.
Owsley in eastern Kentucky is a small county with a population of only 4,000 people.
