The fan sent down the homophobic slur at wrestler Anthony Bowens who is gay during an AEW event in a now viral video
AEW wrestler Anthony Bowens who had publicly come out as bisexual in 2017 before going onto identity as gay was recently belittled by a fan during an AEW event with the person in attendance hurling a homophobic slur down his way.

Bowens who was in the ring with Jungle in a 4 on 4 tag team match had the tirade sent down his way with video footage capturing the slander clearly. While the identity of the fan is yet to be established, the words “f*****g f*g” can be clearly head in the video.
Bowens went onto talk about the incident with him writing on Instagram “This is why I posted that photo the other day. Stuff like this unfortunately still exists. Not phased, I’ll just keep fighting against stuff like this till the day I die.”
Bowens had recently posted a picture of himself kissing his boyfriend Michael Pavano, a YouTuber infront of a swarm of protestors with him captioning the picture with “Standup against hate”.
Bowens meanwhile failed to win his four on four contest in the AEW event as well with him and his tag team partners which included Max Caster unable to pull off the win on the night.
AEW is meanwhile in the midst of a crisis with the company seeing its rating slump after a staggering rise when CM Punk had signed. A lack of intriguing content and storylines are said to be costing the company which has at the moment emerged as the main rival to WWE.
