After six years of a liberal administration, most of which was presided over by Jacinda Ardern, the people decided to vote for change. As the votes were still being counted, it was still unclear exactly what the administration of Luxon would look like.
After the win, Luxon came to an event in Auckland with thunderous cheers. His wife, Amanda Luxon, and their kids, William and Olivia, joined him on stage. He said that the triumph had humbled him and that he was eager to start working at his new position. He extended his gratitude to everyone in the nation.
On the other hand, Chris Hipkins, who took over as prime minister from Ardern in January but held the position for only nine months, informed supporters late Saturday that he had called Luxon to offer his resignation. Hipkins claimed that wasn’t the outcome he had hoped for.

Amanda Luxon is the wife of Christopher Luxon, a politician from New Zealand. She has been in the news because she is set to become the first lady of New Zealand after her husband won the country’s general elections.
When she was 16 and he was 15, Amanda first met Christopher at his parent’s house for a youth group meal. In their early 20s, both of them were hitched. Soon after this, they became the parents of two children named Olivia and William. While Olivia is currently studying sociology and criminology in Australia, William is a commerce student.
While not much is known about her career, it is known that Amanda Luxon is a former ballet dancer and has also worked as a teacher. She is active in her husband’s political campaign and has also addressed several rallies.
She is currently 54 years old but her maiden name isn’t known.
