The biggest football competition in all of Southeast Asia is ready to commence with the mightiest of teams preparing to fight the battle in order to claim Southeast Asian glory. Vietnam have won the championship twice and will look to clench the title once again, with Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Philippines all vying to restrict that from transpiring.

The tournament was initially scheduled to take place in 2020 but obviously because of the Covid-19 pandemic it got postponed to December 2021. The new format includes having a centralised location for all of the 26 matches that are going to be played throughout this competition. Singapore has been provided with the hosting rights for thi edition of the Suzuki Cup.

A total of 10 teams will participate in the tournament with all of them getting split over two groups. The top two sides in each of these groups will then advance to the semi-final stage. It’s going to be one thrilling competition with Group A looking exciting while Group B will once again witness the rivalries play out between Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia who were also placed in the same group for the second round of the joint 2022 World Cup/2023 Asian Cup qualification.
