Following the tragic death, the victim’s father claims that his daughter was killed and that it was not an accident.
Nishtha Tripathi bio and age
Nishtha Tripathi was a 23-year-old B.Com Honours student from Babu Banarasi Das (BBD) college, in Lucknow. She was a resident of Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh.

According to sources, Nishtha comes from a well-to-do family, her father, Santosh Tripathi, works as a Bank Manager.
Primary murder suspect
The police have identified Aaditya Pathak, a friend of the victim as the main suspect. Aaditya reportedly called Nishtha to the party at his residence in Lucknow’s Chinhat neighborhood.
Nishtha Tripathi shot dead following a late-night party
The tragic incident took place on late Wednesday night at Pathak’s rented house at the Dayal Residency in Chinhat, Lucknow. Aaditya was allegedly hosting a late-night party at the residence where Nishtha was shot dead. Although Nishta Tripathi was rushed immediately to the Lohia Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries and the doctors eventually pronounced her dead.
According to the police, they initially got the information about the incident from the hospital early on Thursday. The hospital informed the police that a girl with a bullet injury had been brought dead. Following the news, a police team rushed to the hospital and after identifying Nishtha, they contacted her family in Hardoi.
According to reports, police found a country-made pistol which was allegedly the murder weapon used for committing the crime. Moreover, police officers also found alcohol bottles inside the apartment and making attempts to determine if the shooting was an accident or a planned incident.
According to the police, there were several other students who reportedly took part in the late-night party, and are currently questioning all of them. Following the tragic event, a case of murder has been registered under IPC Section 302 was at Chinhat police station. Police have also brought in Aaditya Pathak, who is the primary defendant in the case, into jail.
