Paras Laxmikant Mhambrey was a former Indian cricketer who was born on June 20, 1972, in Bombay, India. Mhambrey was born and raised in Bombay, now Mumbai, India. There is hardly any information available about his family and parents in the media. Paras most notably played in two Test matches and three One Day Internationals matches during 1996 to 1998.

Mhambrey started out his career with his debut during the 1993-94 season where he took 30 wickets at 23.77 apiece. Following which he got selected for the India A side the following season. Paras then made his debut against England at Edgbaston, playing as a third seamer in 1996. He picked up his first wicket haul against Michael Atherton. Aside from that, he could not do much with the ball and ended up with just 5 wickets. Paras also got to play the overseas player for the North Maidenhead CC.

Following a successful playing career, Mhambrey pursued a career in coaching. He first obtained a Level-3 coaching diploma from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) located in Bangalore. His first assignment was to serve as the coach of the Bengal cricket team in the Indian domestic circuit. He led the side to the finals of the Ranji Trophy, after a gap of 16 years.
Mhambrey then served as the coach for Maharashtra, Baroda, and Vidarbha. The former Indian crickter then joined the IPL as the assistant coach for the Mumbai Indians, serving in the role for 4 years. Following his rise to success, Mhambrey was appointed as the bowling coach for both the India A team and the U19 Indian cricket team. He served the two roles up until November 2021 when he was appointed as the bowling coach for the Indian national cricket team.
